Horse Meat Disco

Horse Meat Disco began in 2004 at The Eagle in London’s Vauxhall and has since grown into a defining force in queer club culture. Founded by James Hillard and Jim Stanton, alongside residents Severino and Luke Howard, the collective still hosts its original Sunday party while touring globally with residencies, festival slots and curated projects. Their sound resists neat labels. Rooted in disco but stretching into house, Italo, punk-funk and unexpected oddities, HMD sets are joyful, hedonistic and emotionally charged. The ethos has always been clear: a queer party for everyone. Through acclaimed compilations and their album Love and Dancing, they’ve shown that disco is not nostalgia but living culture. Decades in, Horse Meat Disco continues to connect dancefloors worldwide with rhythm, freedom and unapologetic celebration.
