One of the greenest festivals in the world.

No more excuses: sustainability is the only way forward.

We are optimists. We believe the future can be bright, but only if we put in the effort. At the same time, we’re aware that a music festival has an impact. On the air, the soil, the water, the resources we use, and the people who live nearby. That’s exactly why we take sustainability seriously. Not as an afterthought, but as something that runs through the entire festival. We try to lead by example, improve year after year, and stay honest about how far we still have to go.

Our approach has been recognised by A Greener Festival, where we’ve received the highest possible rating (4 stars) for six years in a row, as the first festival to do so. This year, we were also nominated in five categories at the International AGF Awards, covering areas such as transport, power, catering, and water. We received the award for greener catering. We’ve also committed to a carbon reduction target aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), helping us stay accountable and focused on long-term impact. For more in-depth details and data on our impact, you can explore AGF's annual carbon footprint assessment below. Through this ongoing process, we aim to inspire visitors, artists and partners to take action in their own lives as well. Not because we have all the answers, but because change works better when it’s shared.
