JADALAREIGN is a DJ, producer and curator whose work is deeply rooted in the history and culture of Black dance music. Born Jada Lorraine and raised just north of New York City, she grew up surrounded by jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop and global sounds - an environment that shaped her musical identity from an early age. Before stepping behind the decks, she studied acoustic bass and piano, building the musical foundation that still informs her approach today. Her career took shape in Brooklyn during the mid-2010s, where she refined her DJ craft while interning with the influential collective Discwoman and organising parties in the city’s evolving nightlife scene. Her sets weave together soulful house, jazz and classic records with forward-thinking club sounds, bridging the past and future of Black dance music. Beyond DJing, JADALAREIGN is deeply committed to community building. Through initiatives like Community Skillshare and In Session, she creates spaces where marginalised artists can learn, collaborate and develop their creative practice.
