John Beltran is a Detroit-area producer from Lansing, Michigan, whose sound has been part of the city’s techno lineage since the early ’90s. Rather than focusing on rigid machine funk, his music leans into melody, warmth, and atmosphere. Beltran’s sound floats above the mechanical pulse of classic Detroit techno, shaped by rolling synth lines, subtle rhythms, and a deep sense of harmony. Often edging toward ambient and new age textures, his tracks feel expansive and reflective while remaining rooted in electronic tradition. His approach is gentle yet precise, driven by emotion, musicality, and an unmistakable melodic instinct.
