Weval are an Amsterdam-based electronic duo known for their emotionally rich productions. Weval blurs the lines between electronica, psychedelic pop, and atmospheric dance music, combining analogue warmth with detailed, forward-thinking sound design. Their background in film gives their music a cinematic sense of pacing and storytelling, often balancing introspection with subtle groove. With their fourth album CHOROPHOBIA, Weval lean more openly into movement and rhythm. Long known for holding dance music at arm’s length, the duo embraced higher BPMs, looser structures, and playful energy, creating their most extroverted work to date. The result feels closer to a house party soundtrack than a traditional club record. Equally at home on festival stages and in concert halls, Weval continue to evolve by following emotion first, letting curiosity guide their sound rather than genre boundaries.
